Five to Watch from this past weekend at the KnoxVegas Heat Invitational...
By Patrick Stanwood stanwood@hoopmasters.com

Here are the top prospects from the past weekend at the KnoxVegas Invitational on the University of Tennessee campus...

We'd like to give a special thanks to Mikki Allen, Cedric Canty and Andre Whitehead for their help in compiling our list of the top prospects in Knoxville...

Noah Cottril 6'1 PG Mountain State Academy (WV) - West Virginia

This physical and assertive 6'1 scoring lead guard got it done for the champion Wisconsin Playground Warriors. On offense, he drove the ball at will, displayed deep range from three…truth be told he was 90% of the reason his team even made it to the final of the 17U Bracket…This West Virginia commit is a better athlete than one might first guess and has a motor for days!

Jelon Kendrick 6'6 WF Westlake (GA) (Though he'll likely transfer)

Kendrick is a versatile forward who is effective on the perimeter and inside…Watched him drain 3ball after 3ball over the course of the weekend…wisely posts up smaller opponents…Looked every bit a Top 30 player in the Class of 2010…Not yet ready to give a potential list of college suitors…

Reggie Bullock 6'7 WF Kinston (NC) - North Carolina

One in the know scout likened him to current Tar Heel player Wayne Ellington- like Ellington he has elite shooting ability that stretches far beyond 3point range…An unselfish player who can make the pass on the move or out of the double team in the high post…One criticism! Young Bullock could maybe bring more intensity to the floor, All that said, Bullock is without question a Top 25 player…UNC Pledge.

Dominique Ferguson 6'7 WF Lawrence North (IN)

Boarded well, ran the floor…Showed off some of the range that makes him an elite wing…His inside game needs some work and he'll need to gain some strength over the summer months, but it would be hard to imagine a national top 25 list of juniors without Dominique's name on it…Has decided to open his recruitment back up and consider other schools along with Kentucky…

Ian Miller 6'3 SG/PG United Faith (NC) - Florida State

Showed the ability to do a lot of things this weekend…he can get to the rack where he'll finish at rim level, displayed the ability to knock down the outside jumper…honestly looked distracted at times…May be regarded as a Top 30 talent by the end of the summer!...Future Nole.

Phil Taylor 5'10 PG Marietta Wheeler (GA)

Oh what a year makes! Taylor was always a quality streak shooter (had 54 point in a bracket play game), but Taylor is now showing great awareness with regard to finding open teammates…he may need to work at getting his shot off quicker for his obvious scoring ability to translate at the college level…Listed Richmond, Auburn, Indiana and Florida State as school's he likes.
